Electrical and fire alarm upgrades at Beauly Tandoori
Another very busy day at Beauly Tandoori as the renovation continues, including work in the staff accommodation.
We replaced a consumer unit, installed additional electrical points and carried out inspection and testing on the new electrical work, including checks on the RCBO protection.
We also replaced the old fire alarm system with a new panel-controlled system, specified as Category L2 for the HMO accommodation. This includes manual break-glass call points, alarm sounders and smoke detectors—not simply standalone smoke alarms.

With just two of us on site, it was a long day with plenty to get through. We’re back tomorrow, with another two days of inspection and testing planned as the wider project progresses.
