Who handles your information

Caledonia Electrical Highlands Ltd, based in Inverness, Scotland, is responsible for the enquiry information it receives through this website. Contact caledoniaeh@gmail.com or call 07887 494968 with a privacy question.

Quote requests and photographs

We use the name, phone number, optional email address, area and job details you provide to respond, discuss a quotation and arrange any work you request. You can optionally attach up to three photographs. Include only details needed for the job and avoid people, documents or other private information in photographs. Only take photographs from a safe position; do not open electrical covers.

This processing is needed to take steps at your request before a contract, to perform agreed work, and for our legitimate interest in handling enquiries and keeping appropriate business records. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to a marketing list.

FormSubmit forwards form submissions and attachments to our business email inbox. Its service states that it retains form submissions for 30 days and does not include uploaded files in that submission archive. Copies received in our inbox are separate. Read FormSubmit’s privacy information (PDF, opens a new tab). Enquiries with photos, and enquiries sent without JavaScript, take you to FormSubmit to finish the submission. It may present a security check before confirming acceptance.

We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to respond and deal with any resulting work, record-keeping obligations or disputes. You can ask us about retention or request deletion. Our hosting, form delivery and email providers also process information to operate their services; their systems may process data outside the UK.

Optional website statistics

Statistics are off until you choose “Allow statistics”. If you allow them, we count clicks on phone links and quote submissions accepted by our form delivery provider. Each total is grouped by day, the page you arrived on, the page used for the action, a broad source such as Google Business Profile or Facebook, and the selected type of service for a quote.

These totals do not contain your name, phone number, email address, job description, photographs, full referring address or a visitor identifier. We retain totals for up to 400 days. A phone-link click does not prove that a call was made, and a submitted quote is not a confirmed booking. Photo enquiries finish on our delivery provider’s page and are not included in the website’s submitted-quote count.

We use consent for these optional statistics. You can decline or change your choice at any time without affecting the website or quote form. Browser signals requesting no tracking also keep these statistics off.

Browser storage and technical requests

Local storage remembers your privacy choice for up to 180 days. Only after you allow statistics, session storage remembers the broad source and arrival page while you browse in that tab. Withdrawing consent removes that optional session information. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site advertising profiles.

Hosting and delivery services receive technical request information needed to provide and protect the website, including network addresses. Our event endpoint briefly uses a network address in memory to limit abuse; it does not write that address into the statistics database.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of your personal information, object to processing, or request a portable copy.
