Power ready for a new production space

A two-person team, a two-day deadline and a new electrical installation ready for the equipment setup.

Ready for the bottling-machine engineer

Loch Ness Water’s move to a better workshop space closer to Inverness gave the business room to organise its equipment into dedicated working areas.

The electrical installation had a firm deadline: an engineer was due to set up the bottling machine. Two of us had two days to install the three-phase distribution board, five equipment circuits, cable tray and connection points, then complete the inspection and testing.

One high-level cable route needed particular attention. Access was helped by the large scaffold hired by the customer, allowing us to work along that section of the building. Our work also included bonding the cable tray.

The new layout gave the bottling machine, forklift charger and compressor their own areas, with equipment spaced out around the premises. The electrical supplies were arranged around those positions, supporting a more organised workshop layout.

The installation was completed within the two-day programme, with a neat finish and the power ready for the equipment setup.
