The finished installation
This project features a compact Ohme charger fitted to an exterior rendered wall beside the doorway. The photograph shows the finished position, front controls and covered charging connection.

Small details matter
A home charger becomes part of the outside of the property, so its position and visible finish matter as well as the electrical work. This installation keeps the unit close to the building, with no surface cable run visible around the charger in the photograph.
Planning your own charger
Every home needs its own assessment. When you contact us, tell us where you park, the vehicle you have or are planning to buy, and whether you already have a charger in mind. A photo of the parking area and the closed front of the consumer unit can help us discuss the next step.
We will need to consider the existing electrical supply, cable route and a practical charging position. The right arrangement depends on your property and how you use the vehicle.

Use this example to plan your own installation
This photograph is one example of a completed home charging point. The supply, cable route and installation requirements are assessed for each property. Our EV charger planning guide sets out the details to gather for your enquiry, and our charger gallery shows more of our own installation work.
